The Hancock County Clerk of Superior Court oversees a professional office dedicated to supporting the administration of both Superior and Juvenile Courts. The office also manages essential judicial and civil functions. Responsibilities include maintaining real estate, civil, criminal and various other official records.

Filing Activity Notification System (FANS)

The Clerk’s Office participates in the Filing Activity Notification System (FANS), administered by the Georgia Superior Court Clerks’ Cooperative Authority (GSCCCA). This program enables individuals to receive real-time email notifications whenever a filing is recorded in their name in participating Georgia counties.

Electronic Filing via PeachCourt

The office supports electronic filing through PeachCourt, a secure platform for submitting civil and criminal filings online. This service is available to attorneys and self-represented litigants, offering a convenient and efficient means of accessing the court system.

Electronic Certified Documents (eCertify)

Certified court documents may be requested and delivered electronically through the GSCCCA’s eCertify platform. This system ensures the authenticity of records while offering faster and more convenient access for the public and legal professionals.

Passport Acceptance Services

The Clerk’s Office is an official Certified Acceptance Agent authorized by the U.S. Department of State. The office accepts and processes passport applications in accordance with federal guidelines. This service is available to first-time applicants and those seeking passport renewals under qualifying conditions.
